Thanks for the info! Sounds like you got a good set up. Got any pics to show off?

On new phone, only have one with the back loaded down with water but Ill upload it in a bit.

I went look at some trucks today and went look at some of the used ones to compare. One thing I noticed about the KR leather and the darker leather is that they definitely show their wear marks more than the light grey and adobe ones which is kind of a bummer.

I only have 20,xxx miles on mine so no wear marks yet but the leather thickness is the biggest difference. Mine is a 2011 and my FIL just got a 2013 and the leather is thin and feels almost cheap. Also, the seats don't have a strong feel to them and are just mushy, especially around the edges.

20 cases of water in the back. 32 bottles in each case. 16oz per bottle. Plus toolbox and assorted tools.

Nice truck! I keep going back and forth b/w whether I want the max tow option or not. It would be nice to have those mirrors when I do tow, but it's not terribly common. I think they look a little better with the smaller mirrors, but not a huge difference.

Here's a few pics of the one I went look at today at a local place.

It has most of the bigger things I want, but not sure if I like the longer bed on it.

That area in TX?

ETA: What made you want the 6' bed? Haul a lot? I think it looks better with the short bed, but can see where a longer bed would come in handy if hauling a good bit or putting an ATV in the back.

I hardly tow anymore either. Well, I tow a good bit in the fall but use my dads 1 ton for that. However, the towing mirrors are the tits. There are literally no blind zones with them. On my year, they do not have electronic folding but on the 2013 they fold up just like the smaller ones. On a stock truck the larger mirrors look out of place but make the truck a bit more aggressive and they make the truck look better.

I put a 4 wheeler in the back a lot. I wanted to be able to close the tailgate.

That's a big point to me. I don't understand why they put a small blind spot mirror on the driver side but not passenger on the small mirrors.

FIL went from a KR with towing mirrors to the 2013 Plat with small mirrors and he is about to have to pay $500 to the dealership to swap out the mirrors. I am sure that the small ones are fine, but once you get used to the large ones.. Well, Im sure yall get the point.

CP3, Hows that 5.0 working for you?

When I went look today, they had an FTX which I had never seen. Basically a souped up FX4 from what I could tell.

Dealer package. Lots of chrome, cheap lift kit, nothing unique about it, and very cheesy.

Just IMO but I hate dealership packages from the "Badland" package to this one.

I got a buddy that has a '12 with the 5.0 and I am trying to get him to drop some money on the engine. It has gobs of potential but you gotta pay to see it.

I like the longer bed. When I get another truck, it will be one like yours, maybe not the KR because I'm not a baller but I will be a Lariat at the minimum.

2 of the owners of the company I work for have the crew cab F150s with long bed, leveling kit and 34" tires and they look great. Lots of Fords around our office.

Graduate next year.

Once I get my big boy job I'm planning on throwing in the Roush supercharger. Not a question of if, just when.
