Well I dove off the deep end last Monday and bought a new truck. 2014 fully loaded Ram 2500 diesel 4x4 MegaCab, I say new because it has 134 miles on it. Traded in my F-150 Ecoboost Crewcab, here are the facts so far. One of the reasons I bought it is I just bought a 32ft Sunsation and we went to get it in a Dodge 5.7l Hemi from Destin, we got 5mpg pulling it back.

Room - Plenty, 22y/o can sit in the back and knees don't come close to the front seat, he is 6'0 tall. Pretty impressed with the space, the back seats recline some.

Power - It's a Cummins 6.7l Inline 6, plenty of power.

Mileage - On flat ground I was getting 21.1mpg, drove to Knoxville and averaging 19.7.

Ride - Wife has MAJOR back problems and while it bothers her, it isn't as bad as the F-150 was.

good choice and great truck.

things I would do/add

switch out the step rails and get wheel to wheel length

add window vents on at least the front windows

weathertech floormats

Can't add a small step rail in back instead of replacing?

Nice truck.

Does your wife have low back issues on long trips?

Yeah I just got it, I tinted the windows and added a hide away hitch, was gonna do the vents but had a lot to do before we came on vacation. WeatherTech are a must and will be adding after I get back off the rig.

My wife had failed major back surgery and has metal in her back it hurts her all the time, the good thing is she can lay all the way across the back seat on long trips. Just riding around town because of the length of the truck it rides better than the F-150 did.

I agree, I liked the looks of the huskyliners too. I had them on my last megacab. the onew with the high sidewalls for containing fluids. They sidewalls did not hold up well and bent and folded down making them less than effective. The weather techs I have now are holding up better but don't look a good IMO
