I don't think I can buy a better shotgun for the price in California. $269 after the $50 mail-in rebate. 26" barrels, 3" camber, modified choke, one in the wood laminate and the other in synthetic stock. Look out ducks and doves.

They aren't what they used to be, but mine has survived a few hard years in the swamp with sub-standard treatment and no hiccups. If you rack that bastard hard enough, it will go bang no matter what.

Checking Remington online the warranty is 2 years. The salesman at Bass Pro made it sound like if I had a problem ever with the guns Remington would fix it. I know when I was a kid they were great guns.

The finish on them just isn't what it used to be. I found that mine had a rust problem on the receiver for the first year or so. After that I haven't had that problem. It went submarine a few times this year and hasn't shown any signs of rust. They still function like they always have.

Mine looks like HELL but still gets the job done. Can't beat the old meat cleaver. You made a good choice

This is gonna sound REALLY stupid, but after I put everything (except the wood of course) in boiling water to clean it really well and then oiled it all up, the rust problem went away.

You can see how I treat my shite and it still works

WD 40 and some elbow grease used to fix any rust problem if you caught it early enough.

I've got one from bass pro as well. Make sure you clean it Very well before tue first shot. Mine had a bunch of packing gel in it that heated up on first shot locking it up. Besides that, which was my fault, I have had zero problems with it.

Also it give me great pleasure to out shoot my buddies who use semi automatics with a pump

Thanks. The Bass Pro folks said they will show us how to assemble it and break it down for cleaning which is great. Now we have to wait 11 days for the background check before we pick it up.

I don't know but CA does have some firearms laws that are above and beyond anything around here.

Probably the californicators and definitely not northern part of the state. Believe it or not they kill the hell out of ducks and geese up in that area.

Yes. And I cannot buy a gun in Louisiana and take it back to CA. The guys at Academy in BR told me if I buy a gun in LA has to be by CA rules because I live there.

Unfortunately I live in the southern part. We are going to try a WMA on the Salton Sea south of Palm Springs.

Academy tends to be a bit cheaper than bass pro.

No 11 day wait in texas. You need to clear a background check, but that is all. They do that while you wait.

I was online and I found out that if you signup for the Bass Pro Visa card I get $25 off each shotgun. I went down there they backed the charge off my Mastercard and transfered it to the new Bass Pro card and while I was there and they thew in another 10% off ($55). Wahooo!!An additional $105 savings.

I'm now indoctrinated. Now I'll do all my hunting shopping there, it's brilliant on their part.

28" Rem Choke/3" chamber...12ga. Graduation present from HS in 1990. Still shooting fine. Only thing every replaced was the forearm grip. Damn thing split right down the middle in a duck hunt. Damn fine gun. Still in use today...one of these days I'll retire it and get a Benelli or something.
