I'm considering having JP build one of these for me. I've done a ton of research and can't find a fit/finish to match their (perceived) quality.

Anyone here have any experience with them? I'd love to hear about comparable builders as well. I've looked into Larue and G.A. Precision as well. If not, other forum suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks!

Build your own. Super easy and pretty fun. You can order the highest quality parts and still come in cheaper than buying one from a manufacturer.

I'm not an AR expert, but my cousin is on their "shooting team" and I've shot a couple of his rifles. If I had the money, I'd definitely buy one. They're awesome.

Good deal. I've scoured the message boards/info forums and have never read anything bad about their work.

For that money, I'm buying LaRue or Knights.

Their quality is top notch. With regards to accuracy and barrel life they have pretty much the best combo with their cryo treated barrels.

I've been thinking about dumping my bolt gun to get a GA precison gap10 though. I'd like a larue predatobr but with larue having a huge wait time and not offering anything other than 308 it sucks. Knights has long delivery times as well. There was a group buy like 2 years ago and people are still waiting.

JP offers too notch gear, it's just not my thing, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy in a second if it was.

After I am done with my 300BLK SBR build (just waiting on the can), my next buy is a LaRue PredatOBR 7.62 18". I'm either putting NightForce or Us Optics on it.

Definitely going to be a little bit because it will not be cheap.

Was thinking large frame AR. Calibers like 6 creed, 243, 7-08, 260, 6.5 creed, etc.

I'm the small frame they need to offer 300 blk, 6.8, 6.5 grendel, etc.

Not saying they need to offer all, but offer some options.

Nice, I'm leaning towards U.S. Optics too. 20" barrel, however

I agree. That's one thing that turned me off with GAP. Originally, I was going to go with the .260. JPrifles.com may as well be my homepage now

I figured that was what you meant. My post was certainly not a "gotcha" one.

I have the hots for a .22-250 currently. Something about 4,000 FPS has me hard.

22-250 is interesting, I've always wanted a 223 ai.

However, slinging a 75 Ajax at 22-250 speeds is pretty insane.

I'm going to need to buy a lathe soon so I can start threading my own barrels with all the barrel burning calibers.

I saw that Ruger made a bolt action .22-250 for pretty cheap the other day. The prices seem right and the reviews are great on it. Do you know of any other cheap/good .22-250 platforms?
