Sure is. His sister is my baby mama and my Son currently works there.

My dad bought a Farmtrac tractor from him when they had the dealership across the road. Cameron came all the way to Smithdale Ms to take care of some things that on it for my dad. I always admired that . My dad thought the world of him.

What’s wrong with the housing?

The king pin of the hub assembly punched through the axle housing.

Where are you located? That is fixable. That punched through because the kingpin races were so slap worn out, it finally all gave up and busted through a thin part of the casting that doesn’t carry any load whatsoever.

The seat needs to be welded up, remachined, and then that punched through part welded up and ground down to look fresh again.

ETA- I am happy to help you get it fixed even if you have to ship me the housing. I do this for a living, I would want to have my line bore guy look at it and confirm that we can handle it- but we’ve done some that were so screwed up before, I don’t think this is any worse.

And before someone says “You can’t weld cast” I promise you- that person has never made their living in heavy equipment. Huge cylinder rod ends get welded every day and line bored. Kingpin bearing race seats (like this) get done all the time. The price of the part and like in this case- the availability- creates a specialized repair industry that can do this- and do it well.

Wonder what a tractor would cost if you priced every single part through the parts catalog.

Looks like the forks have had some heat on them.

Based on this price I need to part mine out.

Don’t know if you have found a solution yet but if not I would find out what other models had a whole axle assembly that would be compatible. I can’t imagine a 7210 was a very popular model so there probably are not a lot of specific parts for them but you might could change it over to something more readily available.

Thank you all for the input. It is greatly appreciated.

We are working with subMoa on a resolution.

Part prices would quickly overtake the blue book value on the tractor.

One of my ‘retirement’ gigs is to find a somewhat specialized industry and buy broken machines to part them out online. I know a guy that does this for depthfinders because old guys don’t like to learn new models, lol. I don’t know what he clears but he said he sells over $10k most months.

The price for parts for appliances is absurd. Some plastic fridge drawers are $70+ for a $5 part. Ridiculous. You can pick some of that stuff up on the side of the road and have $500+ worth of parts for some of these fridges and what not with very little effort.

I keep looking and for the life of me I can’t figure what’s wrong with that housing, lol

There’s a tapered bearing on the bottom fork of the axle and it went bad, I guess you’d call the king pin rides inside this bearing, and when the bearing went bad the king pin wollowed the hole out and ate through the bottom axle fork.

A sign of a bad lower bearing is the wheel will have negative camber, and I imagine you could see it wobble when underway in the field.
