The folks at the Covington location have no idea when they're getting theirs as of last Saturday. Going to everything kayak at the end of the month. Hoping they have one.

Pedal driven kayak....more or less the Jackson Coosa HD answer to the Hobie, the Native Propel and the Wildy Radar....or whatever Wilderness Systems is calling their pedal kayak.

Oh hell we were all geared up and ready to go. The 5 and 3 year olds were so pumped to see the Jackson fire department. What a downer....

You will also have the option to mount an electric motor in place of the of the foot pedals. Will prob be out in 2018

I've been looking at the Slayer Propels pretty hard lately. Anything on the Jackson FD make it worth considering above the Slayer?

I'd give the FD time to have the kinks worked out, because it will have kinks like all new products.

The Propel drive has been out for years and is proven. It had kinks itself that have all since been resolved.

That's reason enough to choose one over the other in my opinion. Look at the new 180 mirage drive. People all over are having problems with the pull cords breaking.

Besides the fact that I simply do not like Jackson much, the newness of the system would scare me pretty bad. Especially considering the rumours out there about Wildy's struggles.

One thing to consider. Jackson and Wildy have been working on their pdeal drives almost equally as long. Wildy may have rushed theirs to market.

I'm waiting on the accounting department at Jackson to call me stating the FD is ready. Could be a couple weeks. When I do get it in, I'll post on here and bring it out to the lakefront of Lake Ponchartrain if anyone wants to test drive it. I'm actually meeting some of the jackson guys from Tennessee down in PAC at the end of the week and they are bringing 3 FD's with them that I'll get to test out. I'll post once I try one.

Pack and Paddle has one they're demoing today, right now actually. I'm packing up my stuff to go to the island all weekend or else I'd be there to check it out.

Saw a price of 3k the other day in austin tx.

Forget that. Would rather have your titan.

While the Titans looks very stable, you are giving up a lot of speed. Watched a video with Drew Gregory testing the FD and he was running close to 5mph with the higher pitch. You can adjust the pitch from low, medium, or high with low being the easiest to push.
