Growing your own food is very rewarding. I love doing my garden every year. I'm still experiencing different things and learning something new every year. And it definitely promotes healthier eating habits.

They did not sprout like I pictured. I devided it into thirds. 1 section is peaches and cream. I did the triangle method so they cross pollinate each other. I planted 3 seeds in each hole too.
The middle is g 90
The other outside section is early golden bantam
With them being close, I'll prolly have a hybrid

Had to dig one to take a look. Have about 50 more. This was one I had been stealing potatoes from.

It does, that, the wife and now this thread got me to pick up a few things. Creol and cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, red bell pepper, jalapeño, sweet basil. I have much to learn so giving these a try in some big 5gal or so containers. Cucumbers I'm going to put on the side of my ponds waterfall (base of some banana trees) and see how that all does. I have a spot to do a bed and put on a watering system of this all works out.
Very cool to see these garden pics, some of y'all got a full on produce section going on.
Anyone have a greenhouse?
From one bunch off the banana plants last year. Harvested 3...let's just say banana smoothies are common around here

So far I have harvested several jalapenos and 2 bell peppers. I have one better boy that's nearly ripe. Any day now. Sweet 100s are also going nuts, but none are ripe yet.

I did the same last week. I went 100% potatoes this season as I haven't had much time in the garden with all the rebuilding of the house. 20 Red LaSoda and 20 Yukon Gold that are getting close to being ready. I am losing one 4 x 12 bed to more deck once these are harvested. I am going to go mostly peppers and herbs in the remaining beds.
I am EXTREMELY jealous of all of you that can grow yellow and zucchini squash! My whole area has such a bad infestation of squash borers, that I have fought a losing battle for the last 2 years without much results. They are my favorite vegetables to grow too!
I have tried everything to knock out the population to no avail. I gave up on them this year.

I have some squash, zucchuni, and peppers comming in. Going to plow snap beans friday and hit the corn with amonia and plow it.
Garden consist of
35 diff variety of peppers
18 yellow squash
8 green zucchuni
3 yellow zucchuni
9 egg plant
6 cucumber
Few tomatos
2 rows of snap beans (about 65-75yards long)
13 rows of sweet corn (about 65-75 yds long)

Get a good recipe for Ratatouille. There is a really good one in Southern Sideboards. I could eat it every day.

I slice and sauté them with onions and garlic and put a scrambled egg over it all with salt pepper and maybe some smoked paprika in the egg.

I do by myself. I eat a pretty lean diet, so every night i have a big bowl of ground turkey. Toss in some kale, pepper, and whatever is ready from the garden.. rather its eggplant, cucumber, or squash

Grass is trying to take my garden over. Put the recommended amount of Treflan on it before I disked, and have applied roundup between rows TWICE in the last month. I think it's fertilizing the grass. 
Don't have a tiller, and don't have time to hoe 10 rows. Guess I'll just wait for the peas to shade out the grass.
Any suggestions on grass control? May rent a tiller.

You sure it's a grass and not a sedge? Sedges are much harder to kill.
