Card table, cup of coffee, den, 70*, wind out of the ceiling, dog by side wondering why in the hell are we inside. Watching golf channel and its fricking Tiger re-run day. My partner is out in the blind with his step son and said somebody moved in on top of him and steel rained down on em. No ducks so far.

W.Feliciana / Wilkinson Co line
Colder than when I got out the truck
Stuff north wind that's also cold
Rem .280
2man millenium over food plot
Water, cough drops, Mike &Ikes, satsuma and gold fish crackers

Had a yearling doe come by earlier and bleated twice. Sounded more like a cat meowing that anything.

Planned on hunting late but my le man said he's leaving at 9:30 and he gotta come right by me.

Just south of you and our deer have gone 100% nocturnal. Have pics of bucks at scrapes and following does but only from 9pm-5am. It gets frustrating hunting all day and seeing nothing over and over again.

From the looks of it rut still hasn't set in. Saw a yearling Sunday around 10AM, and nothing else in daylight. Rut should be in full gear next week. The weekend outlook looks really shitty weather wise. But man this is beginning to be really sad. Going to make a hunt Friday but if things don't change weather wise it will be my only hunt for the weekend.

Where are yall hunting at?

West of Brookhaven near Union Church. Scrapes are visited often, bucks 5 mins behind does. Lots of activity at night. Cant get 1 pic during the day

Might need to get a buddy up there with me and use my screen name through thickets and flush them out like we did when I was a kid

If things don't turn soon I will be running like a wild banshee through the thickets and make them come out.

Rut should be just kicking off good there, new years day and the day following were always really good to us. Miss hearing those bucks busting palmettos.

That said Richland has been pretty good to me this year, prime time here too.

Office right now with coffee, after 2:00, box stand on a ROW in CRP with a point of hardwoods running right up to the ROW.

Hunted Delacroix this morning. Water was too low to get into the pond where 2000 ducks were sitting. Managed 4 including a beautiful mottled duck.

Where at tenfoe, we hunted right across the bridge in sherburne, a small 8 point was shot by some fella. Saw does with yearlings though headed there this morning though on the levee by IB, them yearlings usually get ran off when the rut kicks in so it might have not started yet.

Changed plans and back at it - weather was too nice. Tigers will win or lose without me watching it just the same. Watching a green field and two scrapes on woods line.

Good luck to all!
