Headed to Krotz Springs in a bit to check out a site. Trying to give some of you boys time to kill your deer/ducks before I go tromping through the woods. If y'all see a white 3/4 Dodge stopped on your pipeline today I'm sorry, I'll just be a minute.
Also, just found a dime-sized chunk of duck guts (pretty sure it's liver) on my boot. Been there since Sunday evidently. Glad I finally caught that.

Just had a small 6 chase off a doe and her fawns. Then a mature 6 came running through erratic and confused.
Man this is a fun time of the year!

So far this am I have seen the following;
Rabbit in plot early before shooting time - owl smokes rabbit and starts to eat
- spike comes out and chases off owl, feeds then owl comes back and lands 10 feet from deer, deer jumps and circles owl for a while.
- nice 6 point comes out and watches. Spike gets nervous and leaves.
- crows come in and run off owl - made so much noise y'all probably heard it in BR.
