Where do you hunt? The rut here hasn't started yet, but it normally starts around 1/5 or so. Our place doesn't get any pressure neither. Only 3 hunters regularly hunt it and I'm the one that hunts it the most on average 2 times per week except holidays. I swear from 7-10 this AM I heard shots going off in every direction. I almost stood up in my stand and yelled for the deer to come out! Hopefully the change of scenery will work this evening.

Yep. Nice buck.

So, after nary a deer being sniffed by 4 of us this afternoon, my cousin's granddaughter texts a picture of a nice 8 pt she killed this evening in her 1 hour hunt at his other place. I'm pretty sure we are hunting on the wrong piece of property.
