Box stand on green field by CRP

My kids are with their mother today. I left Covington at 2:00 AM and got settled into my stand at 5:25. I must’ve seen at least 100 deer on the drive this morning. One four point damn near got inside the cab with me around the Crystal Springs exit. How he did not touch my truck is a Christmas miracle in and of itself.

I’ve had a nap and a cheeseburger so far this morning. It’s going to take one helluva buck to convince me to pull the trigger today.

Merry Christmas guys. May the opportunities be plentiful and your shots be straight. Will be spending the rest of the week in The Landmass hoping to time the rut and get the gf’s son a chance at a buck or nice doe. If get one, it’ll be a Christmas miracle, he’s a 20 year old ping pong ball, so going in, the odds are against us.

I only bought 1 new gun yesterday, I feel like that is a win. Wife got me a sweet range bag and some other stuff, kids are happy with their hauls. Looking forward to getting back out there with the boy Wednesday, until then good luck and stay safe all!

Only way for me to get a deer is with my truck. Christmas morning with mom’s side earlier. Currently heading to dad’s house. Then to my wife’s family this evening. Y’all kill the big one today

Drove back to camp this morning and hunting the next three days of the Christmas hunt. Have no idea why, due to all the pics I’m getting are at night.

Sitting on top of a ridge with a cooler of beer, freezing my arse off due to the north wind.

Bucks only. Got an Airbnb here so I can hunt until Sunday. Gonna have to top my last buck for me to shoot one. He rough scored 126, so 130 and up this week.
Reckon I’ll go try to find some water to shoot some birds in if I end up shooting a deer. Not gonna let my Airbnb money go to waste.
