Deer/pig hunt
Jarreau, LA
61 degrees, foggy with slight south wind
Marlin 336 30/30 topped with 3x9x40 and loaded with 170 gr soft points

Tent blind in overgrown fence row between hayfields. Sounds like it’s raining with this fog dripping out the trees onto this tent. Watching a mostly eaten pile of rice bran and hoping they come back to finish it up. Good luck to all out this morning.

Sitting in the stand getting blue balled by the cell cam sending pics of bucks I can't shoot right in front of me

They're grouping again and there's a front coming tonight.

Good luck everyone

Sitting on the ground near a creek between a bedding area and some food plots. Always lots of movement in the area but it’s a fast and furious deal.

Sitting in a box on a tree line between overgrown pastures. 70 yards to the woods.

Pigs came out at 275. Last one didn’t make it back in. Too far for Jr, not for daddy.

Hardly any daytime pics. Deer went full nocturnal last 7 days. I do have a few 8pts that are coming in at 5am-6am and leaving 5-10 mins after shooting time. I may get out there way early and wait them out for that small window

Had two more come out just before we left. One caught a bullet from Jr and ran, the second caught one of mine and didn’t.

Scratch three pigs for the morning.

In Crntral East Kansas. Post rut here is brutal. It is worse than that the last two days.

Very few deer. Big bucks are in head high grass and can just see a rack pop up

Oh, did I mention the wind. Jesus is it blowing.
