Hadn't been in the woods in 2 weeks. Saw a nice buck at this spot during bow season 100 yards away. Hoping he makes another visit today.

I shot a damn nice buck a few minutes ago. Watched him for 10 minutes slipping my slough in the fog and never could get a shot. I rushed a shot at the last second and starting to doubt if I hit him or not. I didn't see him run off though. Fog is lifting and I'm gonna get waders shortly to cross slough and look.

Watch those heaters. An uncle of mine had one blow up on him yesterday. Second degree burns to hands and face. Set clothes and stand curtains on fire. Blew door off stand. He tried to keep hunting until the pain made him go to the hospital. In addition to the burns, he lost his mustache, eyebrows, eyelashes and most of his hair.

Not sure. Blew up when he lit it. I think it was one of the buddy heaters.

My cousin said he is wrapped up like a mummy, but is at home last i heard

Not only that, but he went by his camp and picked up a hog that he had in the freezer. Had shot it the day before. Then, he drove it to the processor before driving himself to the hospital. He must have been a sight. My dad and his brothers are a different breed.

Wow, glad he's "ok". Hoping for a speedy recovery. It takes a hell of a man to keep hunting after being blown up.
