-Wakefield near Bayou Sarah
-Blind on edge of food plot
-Deeks at 20y
-Daughter (no pics) home from college on trigger; she’s never killed a Tom

Birds are typically heard in all directions at day-break from this spot. Crickets this morning. Hoping heavy rain last night has them still on roost, perhaps they’ll liven up as the morning progresses.

Winn Parish Lease

Nothing, Silence. Talked with a couple neighboring leases. Same

Heard one lone gobble on the roost opening morning. I’ve hunted every day but Sunday and Monday.

Lots of pressure this year (I guess from the virus quarantine). I’m the only one that turkey hunts our lease but I have found more footprints/truck tracks than turkey sign. The area that has the most sign has also attracted trespassers, also found a 3” 12g HW turkey load hull on our lease road.

I was able to call in a couple hens yesterday. The 2nd one I called back 3 times, she would come in clucking and yelping. That was pretty fun.

Last year, they gobbled opening day and then shut up for two weeks. Hopefully they start back gobbling.
