Simsboro, La.
40° calm and clear skies
44 mag primitive arms hunting a stand that hasn’t been hunted in 3 years. We’ve had no cameras back here either, so anything seen will be a surprise.
REB Jr is headed to the pipeline stand with 35 Whelen in hand.

Good luck baws!

Got in the stand and I’m joined by 4 flying squirrels. I guess we’ll just hang out together for the day.

Rut should be heating up in central Alabama. I've had lots of fun in the woods near Demopolis. I'm already thinking about turkeys here.

Haven’t seen a lot of deer activity all week on cell cams. Swapped cards on a non-cellular cam after this morning’s hunt and low and behold, a 10pt, 1 min after a doe, on Thursday. Guess I got a couple more hunts in me.

Nice one DVA!

Got back in the same stand at 2pm. Didn’t see anything this morning. My son saw 5 around 730 on our pipeline too far to shoot.

Got down at noon and worked on a broken tie rod end that broke last weekend chasing dogs. Got all the hard work done and gonna put it back together tomorrow after the morning hunt.
