Not great at aging but I don't think he was over 3.5. He didn't have a lot of wear on his teeth and he wasn't big bodied. My scale said 150 but I haven't used it in literally ten years, I think he was closer to 180lbs. Here is a picture of him last year

For your reading entertainment:

Got on stand at 1230. Was planning to hunt till dark. It rained a few times but I was in a box stand dry as a bone so it was all good. Weather started getting bad and when I started hearing thunder I decided to bail. Bike dies halfway back to the camp as all hell is starting to break loose. Called my old man to pick me up on the highway (about a mile away) and start walking. Now the shite is serious. Very close lightning, sideways rain, wind, the works.

Finally get to the highway, rain stops, lightning is getting far away, sun comes out

Get truck, go back to powerline, get another four wheeler, pull dead bike to truck, load dead bike, drive back to camp as everyone else is leaving to go to the stand nice and dry.

Is the deer that big or is she that petit? Lot of mass, nice nail paint.

Nice deer. Congrats to her. Bigger than anything I've killed and I've been hunting 19 years.

ICan - this season really sucks. I've been hunting this lease for three years and it's never been this bad. Although it's been the warmest winter in those three years. We do have some of the biggest bucks on cam that we've ever had but they just don't come out in day. My buddy missed a nice 8 in November and that's it. Hoping next week it picks up. I'll be back out in the morning to see if they move after these monsoons come through.

Where you hunt in Carthage? I have a buddy that hunts right of 25/16 in a camp.

Nice buck. we hunt just south of you on border of Lincoln and Jefferson County. Looks like we are a week away from peak rut.
