That looks like it's for an RV....get a Honda or Yamaha if you have the $...if not Cabelas has a Champion and Powerhouse and HF has a generator/inverter that are about 1/2 the price. Don't have personal experience with them but they look like they would be a decent alternative.

My grandfather was an electrician and always spoke very highly off all Onan generators, fwiw.

Not the best option for tailgating,, too heavy, diesel is loud, etc., unless it will be in enclosure, motor home or semi-permanent place.
However, if that's the case and you also wanted it to be able to do double duty as a camp or house, emergency backup, it might fit you pretty good. 5k would run most, if not all of what you and your freezers need to survive comfortably in an extended power outage.

Everything this old man said is spot on, but you have to be somewhat selective on what you're trying to run if you hook it up to a house

Personally, I'd look at one of the quiet units for tailgating. Don't want to be running wide open really loudly next to someone else

Onan is way better (for RV) than Honda, Yamaha, etc...

That is for an RV, though. It is gas, it's used, and it's way overpriced.

For tailgating get a Honda.
