Honestly, I'm not sure. It's the grey birds with black heads. We have them all around the Rez.

From the pics on Google. That's what they WERE.

Early season in September. Limit is 6 per day. Open during regular duck season, limit is 3 per day.
Check the regs for season dates.

Yes sir. Federal mirgatory bird, even though those don't migrate anymore. Thats the reason for the early season.

I'm so pissed off.

Pissed because some of the babies got away? I feel you on that. When you get down on them, you need to wipe out the whole gaggle. Anything less than that and you are just breeding more terrorists.

Geese are a nuisance. They may look beautiful but they cause a mess if they aren't thinned out regularly.

There's some irony in a guy from LA complaining about Mississippi people killing game extrajudiciously. The only reason you even saw the bodies is because it wasn't a coonass who shot them. If it happened in New Iberia, they'd already be over rice.

This.

I know a few people with horse farms that would love for someone to go kill all the geese in their ponds.

Canada geese are rats with wings. Why are you so worried about someone killing this particular species?

If they are anything like the ones in my neighborhood. There is nothing migratory about them. Unless you count flying from one neighborhood to the next, causing all types of problems, and shitting everywhere.
