Has anyone here ever sent a firearm to Rob Roberts to get the "Slammer Button" installed? While it is there I am thinking about having them do some trigger work, installing the cocking handle, and doing some computerized pattern analysis. I also thought about lengthening the forcing cones even though I know the debate that goes back and forth over that issue. Just wanted to pick some of the OB wizards brains.
TIA
TIA

Nope, there is no need to fix Perfection.

Just googled it. I don't really see the advantage, is there something I'm missing?

I have Briley's bolt release button and cocking handle.
The cocking handle isn't really an upgrade (and I've since gone back to the original) and it's stupid easy to install on your own.
The bolt release is a bit more difficult to install but I still did the install myself. This is the one upgrade I really fell is worthwhile. Another thing's for sure though, Rob Roberts' installation fees are stupid high.
Lenghtening forcing cones are a waste of money. An absolute waste. Neil Winston has done a ton of work on this topic. His website is: LINK Also check out: LINK
I have shot a lot of sporting guns with lengthened forcing cones. It is an anecdotal fix, at best.
Also, if want "free" pattern analyses, look at Dr. Jones' work: LINK

My bolt handle is missing. I just slam it on the ground when I have to eject a shell.

Not to sound like a dick but I really couldn't care less about the cost of it. I want someone that is going to do everything right the first time and I have a few people that liked this guys work. I also don't have the time to do it myself nor the urge. It's not that I can't I just don't want to. The forcing cones were more of something that I wanted to see if anyone had done and what they thought. I don't have much of an interest either way however if I were to be persuaded then I would rather it be done while they already had my gun.

Shot nothing but 2 3/4 through mine so far at the sporting clay course and have not had a single problem.

It looks like the slammer button is actually installed for free now by Rob Robertson anyways.
Which is the way it should be. It's a 3 minute job doesn't require anything close to a professional to do it.
Semi-auto shotguns ain't quantum physics. They're basic parts doing basic things.

It really is absolutely pointless and I still can't reason with myself.

I have the Briley extended bolt handle and Benelli Performance Shop bolt release button on my Cordoba. Both of them are worth every penny.

Benelli's only jam if the bolt rails are dry.
Or if one is using shitty Rio ammo.

Does not comprehend. That's all I shoot when I clay shoot (which is about once a week)and have never had a problem. They are fixing to build a factory in East Texas that a family member will probably be the architect for.
