When you say, "they" I am guessing you are referring to Jeep/Chrysler/Fiat cause I have a HEMI in mine

That's what I was refering too. Seems like that would be a hot seller in a Jeep. I actually had a CJ7 with a 350 in it back in the day. I would love to have that beast back now as a mature adult. Also had an old Bronco as well. I loved both but the Ford just seemed to have multiple issues which I think would be compounded a little bit since I am sure parts for old Broncos probably start with a major organ or a first born.

1. Don't do it.
2. Get a backup, aftermarket transmission if you do.
3. Don't do it.

Get one, you will love it then hate it then love it again then hate it again . I never really hated it, but they weren't comfortable commuting vehicles.

Finally when you figure out a couple of years later you can still get out of it what you paid for it you will sell it and then wish you still had it. I know I've done that 2x, with a 2000 soft top and a 2010 JK Unlimited. Never the 1st bit of trouble with either, other than wishing they had more horses under the hood. I'll get another one when my commute gets shorter.

you may want to look into the issues they had in 2012 with the heads on a pentastar engines. The castings were so bad on the driver's side heads that they had to replace the entire head on thousands of engines.

Looked at and researched every issue known on the new Jeeps and would buy another one in a heartbeat. Granted I do have a Rubicon with the 6 speed manual transmission.

my wife's 2012 unlimited has been 100% trouble free
The pentastar is a huge upgrade over what was in her 2007 that I sold for what I paid for it

she drives hammond to BR and back every day
we love that vehicle and I'd buy another in a second

don't understand the jeep negativity
resale is incredible, demand is high, and it's a well built fun little truck that can take some mud
