I would have a lower receiver for just in case. If you have a lower then you would be good to go in any scenario sans outright ban. I have 2 AR's and 2 lowers on hand at the moment and enough parts to build out 1 of the lowers.
I have a 300 blackout CMMG upper with a Black Rain Ordnance lower that going up on GB probably Wednesday.

I think people are paying it. I know that DPMS flat tops were selling for 595.00 at Mark's Outdoors two months ago, now the same weapon is selling for 1500.00.

I went to my local Academy this morning before it opened. I was 1 of 2 dozen people waiting for the doors to open. They had 3 ARs that sold as soon as guys reached the counter. There 2 leftover 20 round .223 Promags that 2 guys snatched quick. The 223 ammo was gone in 5 minutes. There was some 9mm, a good bit of .40 and .45. I didn't buy anything myself. I was hoping they had gotten some PMAGS or bulk 9mm on the truck last night, but none to be had.
I would safely say that the hysteria is still out there though. Most people were friendly and talkative, but there were some who were blocking aisles and what not because they were worried you would grab what they were looking at

it looks like Virginia has that all taken care of with their propsed 1000 foot restriction from schools. I mean who in the frick elects these dumbasses who think a damn 1000 foot restriction is going to keep kids safe. I would be pissed if that was the proposed Sandy Hook response in my area.
