I'm on Hwy 16 almost exactly halfway between Carthage and Philadelphia, in the floodplain of the Pearl. Not sure of the county.

Ican - where you hunting. I'm about 10 miles north of Canton, MS. The rain has stopped for now. Hope it holds off until 9:30, then I gotta get down and drive to louisiana for a wedding. Looks to be a good weekend to hunt, so I'm not liking my buddy for picking this time of year to get married.

Same here. Driving back to BR this afternoon for my son's HS soccer game in the morning. About 3 miles west of junction of Hwy 16 and 427. Cousin has 900 acres, although about 200 went under water this week.

Probably Leake...Pearl swamp near Edinburg, sounds like. Chances are I stepped on or near that ground years ago. 100 percent chance my dad treed a few coons on it back in the 60's and 70's.
