Trying to get the girlfriend to shoot her first duck but they're not cooperating. Only had 1 flock of green wings come in early but she missed. I dropped 2.

Carthage, MS. Box blind (ladders out for the week rehabbing knee). Mid-60's, foggy, just generally gross. Winchester M-70 in .270. Cuz says if it's brown it's down. No one has hunted here this year. Camera shots show the two younguns I passed up last year have some nice racks this year. And one fattie wandering around that I'd like to drop.

I think I'm gonna let the deer rest today and enjoy a day with the family.
Having said that, if a big one walks across the yard this evening he might die.
