Any of you boys with the i-pilot use a stabilizer or ram mount to keep the TM from bouncing around? I dont want to drill in the boat for the ram mount (also seems like it would be in the way when TM is deployed) but dont want the TM bouncing all over the place. Any other options out there?

WHODAT has the RAM Mount Stabilizer on his boat. Made a huge difference. I wouldn't have an I-Pilot type TM w/o one of those.

ive seen a picture of his and believe that they serve a much needed purpose. However, im wondering if there is a different style that attaches to the TM and not screwed into the boat. Im not a fan of drilling into the boat more than i have to

ETA - it also seems like a permanent mount would get knocked by a foot or something and break and just be in the way. Maybe im over thinking it but im sure ill find a way to trip on it

where I mounted mine, its not in the way. we had three guys on the front deck fishing and it never was an issue.

as civil said its a must have in my opinion. I feel better knowing its stable when running in rough waters and on the trailer.

ill text you more pics.
