I Hate Working During Deer Season

The guy I hunt with in TN is a river rat and is gone 30 and home 30. He's off right now until after Thanksgiving and killed a 9pt out of my stand yesterday morning. I will try to get pics. We've been seeing him on the cameras and he finally stepped out close enough to get with a muzzle loader. I told him to get his arse back out on the river. Glad for him but a little bitter about it at the same time. I think I'm going to move back to TN and just farm full time so I can hunt every day. shite...

ditto - especially during hunting, fishing or football season

Out of your stand?! I'd be pissed. I hunt with a handful of family members who live 15 minutes from our hunting land while I'm a couple of hours away. They can hunt everyday just about and I have threatened them to stay outta my stand. I even rigged it up to know if someone's been in it..

I can't stand it. I am ate up with buck fever right now. 3 years ago my 9 year old missed a dear over a food plot because he knocked the gun against the stand bringing it up.
2 years ago I worked so much, we hardly hunted and never got a shot. Last year he grazed a spike across the front leg. Never found him. He is now 12, Tuesday night a very large (cull) 4 point came out and he took 3 shots at him and missed all three.
So to date, he has not killed a deer. When will the pain go away?

Sounds like you need to teach your boy to shoot straight.

Naw. This guy is local and puts a ton of work into keeping everything up while I hang out in Bham. I do nothing but show up & hunt. The only labor I have in the place is hanging stands and planting food plots a couple work weekends a year. He leaves his four wheeler there for us to use so we don't have to drag one all over the country, keeps our camper from falling down, etc. This isn't a club, it's family land that we invited him to hunt on to thin out the deer. Unfortunately, he thinned the big boy.
But he's worked his arse of on that place for us, so I don't hold it against him. Much.

Tempting, but I don't think I'd be very successful in transitioning the cotton land into a crawfish farm. Maybe I could raise turduckens.

it's going to be windy this weekend..
the specks are in vermillion bay but with the wind and rain, the water will be too muddy.

I'm more on the distribution and retail side than farmering, I have family that farms and I buy the crawfish from them.
Map we got a full blind this weekend but you can come next week
