I have no interest in antlers. Still haven't found a decent recipe. Dem does taste much better, anyway.

No denying that hogs will tear up some shite though. I go to a camp in Harrisonburg a couple times a year that is overrun with hogs. Nice to go to a place and not have to worry about shooting the wrong thing antler wise.

Put a couple in the freezer. I don't see the problem here.

You to agh?! I've got a box stand that I've been feeding for 2 yrs now. Does galore and 4 small bucks visit damm near every day all during the day. I've never hunted it because the goal was to create a place where when my boy was ready (he's 4) we could go sit up and he can smash his first. About 2 weeks ago I went to feed and the place was destroyed! I knew without checking my camera... I've got a fricking pack of 12-15 at a time raping my corn/mineral site. I've hunted them a few times but of course, they're all coming in at night

Acorns won't stand a chance!

Build a "figure 9" trap around that feeder and prepare to have to dispose of those nasty fricks.

I use 8 16' panels and approx. 30-35 t-posts. Has to be tight and made well, I've seen a few small boars bust through the wire like Leonard Fournette, made for some fun shooting though.

If they're coming that hard to corn you can trap the shite out of them. But if you have hard mast, it's been my experience they won't worry with corn until the acorns are gone.

Its an hour one way from my house to this place so I generally only run traps there when its cool and I can go 2-3 days at a time without checking it

Last year I was thrilled for bow season and was gonna shoot one every hunt but acorns started falling and they never left the thick cover

We use the roasts as whole roasts, grind meat and use it like regular ground meat, and my favorite is just cube it up, marinate it, and save it for stew, jambalaya, etc.

I hunt in northern Red River. Our border on one side of the lease is Loggy Bayou and it is crazy how many hogs we have this year. Last year we went on a killing spree and ran the majority of them to one corner of the lease. This year for every one we kill three to four more show up. I finally had to go Tuesday and put gravity feeders up to try to make it where the deer can eat. Would put out feed one day and by daylight the next morning it would be bare ground.

My thing is when it's still hot outside like it is now, I can't trust hog meat. Gets kinda skunky.
