I agree with this, but after I killed one in late December a couple of years ago I decided to quit shooting big does late. She had fetuses' that were developed enough to see pedicels and nuts on the buck, it was a little depressing. That late in the year I'll still stick a yearling doe if I need the meat, they usually weigh 90-95+ pounds by then.
