This is where the Mrs & your grand daughters or neighbors step in

Ain't no way Mama BFIV gonna go on deer patrol. She thinks they're "purty". Neighbors got the same problem I have. And the granddaughters? They gotta have a closet light turned on when they go to bed. According to them, there's monsters and zombies outside when it gets dark. FTF has a good idea. Maybe he needs to put up his stand out there in the middle of the purple hulls. And I ain't against outlawin when it comes to my garden stuff.

Hate to actually have a real reply to this but have tackled the problem....

You need a five strand electric fence. Three strands at normal levels just make sure the bottom strand is low enough to keep rabbits out also. Take the top strand (strand four) bring it out off the top at 45 degrees and make it 6-8' off the ground reinforce the hell out of what is supporting it. Then take a spring line (strand five) and run it about 3' out from your fence about 18" off the ground. Ideally you want to have this strand in the area you would expect the deer to begin their jump over the fence. This alone will keep 90% out, then the top at the 45 degree will keep the rest out. Then pray you don't get hogs they will just nock it all down.

Of course you could always just put a stand up too. However this has worked for me on a 5 acre garden.

I could put a stand up there. That usually works to keep deer away
