So the neighbor lady knocked on our door saturday afternoon. I was out back firing up the grill, and she asked my wife if I was home, and if I could take care of a snake that got in their house. It was in a room off the back, below their deck, but it had a few steps up to the door. And it had an exit door, and a glass storm door, so I don't know if it would be able to slither in before that storm door shut itself.

I didn't take any pics, but it was just under two feet long, and about as thick as my finger. I just grabbed him with my hedge trimmer and took him outside before cutting his head off. Should they be on the lookout for more?

We used to have a 5ft king snake that lived in my laundry room at my old house. He would come in through the hole where the water entered

funny how that happens.

Neither the mom or daughter could tell me how big he was. First I asked how long (since ladies are obsessed with snake length) but they both said it was coiled up. So I asked about girth, and neither got a good long look at him to tell me. I was tempted to walk in their house with my shotgun and tell them there might be some property damage, but that seemed like overkill.
