I just took a trip with Captain Charlie of Bayou Charters out of Hopedale this past Friday and had a hell of a trip. He also offers lodging in the Silver Side lodge, we did not stay there but were able to go inside and check it out. It is a pretty nice place. We brought home 4 limits of reds plus some catch and release, 4 or 5 black drum, a dozen or so specs, and one flounder. I highly recommend them. LINK /

Are you looking to catch just trout? If so, then try fishing magician in Shell Beach. They load up almost every trip and have a pretty nice camp to stay in. Bayou Charters in Hopedale is another good choice as others have stated.

Trout fishing really has been down in the Hopedale/Shell Beach area the last three years. You used to see every guide post pictures of the trout limit hauls every single day now days you see limit of reds, black drum, and a handful of trout.

Mark Munson works his arse off and is a good time. If I didn't fish with Cap't Charlie several times a year through work, Munson would be my automatic go-to guy.

You can't go wrong with either of them.

Capt Mark has a great lodge as well, very reasonably priced.

Give him a call.

Just got off the phone with Capt Mark as I wanted to get the scoop on where the fish are as I am fishing tomorrow and they are killing the trout right now. Even had a mess of four and five pounders with the biggest being six this week. He has some openings but not many. I will report back tomorrow after our outing tomorrow.
