I've got a Honda generator. Starts fine and runs great, however when I plug something in, it stops running and dies out. So before I take It in for repair, I thought I would consult the OB experts for some advice.

Thanks !

Run some berryman chemtool through it and let it run for a tank. If it helps, run more. If it doesnt, board may be going out

Anything that is gas driven that sits up for a while that does under a load had to have a clogged jet in the carb ruled out.

I always drain the carberator on mine before I store. They're 6yrs old (I think) and no issues at all.

It's probably a sticking governor. It's not adjusting to the load to bring the RPMs back. Look for something that looks like an idle adjustment screw around the carburetor with maybe a linkage and spring attached to it.
