Hillary Clinton said Friday that mandatory gun buy-back programs like ones in Australia are “worth looking into,” sparking criticism that the Democratic presidential front-runner would, if elected, impose gun-confiscation efforts.

Clinton made the comments during a campaign stop in Keene, N.H., when an attendee asked about Australia’s 1996 and 2003 buy-back programs that collected roughly 700,000 banned semi-automatic rifles and other firearms.

“I think it would be worth considering doing it on the national level, if that could be arranged,” Clinton responded.

Anyone that thinks she doesn't want gun control is out of their mind.

I always wanted to set up a table outside of a gun buyback and offer $50 more for whatever the po-po pays.

Honestly, the one good thing about HRC is that she has absolutely ZERO convictions or principals, so I'm not worried about her and gun control. If she gets negative feedback because of her views on gun control, she'll let the issue die quietly.

Lol...that would be one city's amount of guns here. Not going to work with 300 million

Offering money for my guns is not exactly "coming for my guns." The point of these kinds of programs is that street thugs who get their hands on some guns will take the cash. It clears trashy guns off the street and reduces the supply for criminals.

Good luck with that. The government doesn't have the manpower to enforce a mandatory gun buy back or surrender. It would be a fricking blood bath.

You have to admit, HRC isn't your ordinary slimy politician. She's the slimiest of the slimy.

FWIW there isn't a single police officer in Louisiana that would sign up for that job. Or if there is, they represent 0.00001% of the police force.

Even if they tried to get the military to do it, I don't think it would happen in the south.

Now, those backwards northern states (and Cali)... It wouldn't surprise me one bit.

There are only about 750k sworn police officers at any given point in time in the US.

Even if 99% of police officers decided to try and be a part of a mass gun confiscation, they would be so outnumbered it wouldn't be much of a fight.

There are more than 100 million gun owners in the US. Even if 90% of the gun owners in the US handed over their guns, the cops are still outnumbered 10:1.
