Henry on the right? Winchester on the left?

Stockton that Winchester is beautiful! What would I expect to pay for a used Winchester like that?

I have no idea. I bought mine in 1998.

The golden boys are pretty accurate. Heavy octagonal barrel with an open sight. I believe you have to drill and tap holes to put a scope. My dad has the 22 magnum, I have the 22 long. They are very good guns, I'm just scared to scratch the pretty gold paint job.

Same thing I was thinking that gold looks too pretty to be walking around te woods with.

The finish on my Henry isn't near as nice as my Winchester but it isn't a golden boy either. There are 2 spot on it where the bluing has worn off from riding leaning on the seat of a Polaris ranger

I think the Henry has a painted finish on the receiver?
Nice 9422. Shame that those little guns are gone. Untold numbers of small game have been taken with .22 Winchesters down through the years.

I had no idea they were discontinued until I went to their site trying to get a pic of one the other day. It is a jewel for sure. One of my favorite guns. It has much, much better sights than that Henry which make it a damn fine shooter
