Hit enter too quick...
I have a 10' Chapman that I would like to use as a layout blind in some fields I hunt. Anyone got an idea for a blind? Should I just get some burlap and cover up or what?
TIA

That's not really gonna work for me.

It is public land. Whatever I use has to be light. I was thinking burlap and killer weed...

Sinke the pirogue and just bring brush to cover yourself.

It seems like it would stick out in a field no matter what you did. Dunno if that's the best idea

Most of the fields have cover in them in the form of Jap Millet, uncut milo and some other natural grasses. The corps of engineers keeps the levees really clean and any wind row in or around the field is avoided by the ducks. The water is knee to thigh deep. I am just looking for a way to get closer.

Maybe get a board or two, wider that the pirogue that you can stick a bunch of the millet and milo into. Spray it with whatever color the dirt is, and drill a bunch of little holes to stick the crops

You could also adapt one of those laydown blinds that goose hunters use to fit on or around the pirogue and pop it open when you see ducks
