if they can't identify and count each individual deer you have nothing to worry about.

also you could have legally killed extra deer/game in other states. it is up to them to prove where you killed them. you can plead the fifth and keep your mouth shut. most people get caught because of their mouths.

So you have to leave it tagged until you consume it? My deer are processed and in freezer paper.

i think the average hunter will be fine storing in their freezer. If I go duck hunting 3 days in a row and limit, that would mean I would have to eat one limit before the 3rd day.

I like game, but not enough to eat it 3-4 times a week

Under the limit and you are ok, but IF your home was searched and you had, for example, 2 dozen ducks in the freezer, you could get popped, unless you had 12 tagged for you and your wife had 12 tagged...

sounds crazy doesn't it...makes you wonder about the people we put in office who come up with these retarded laws...makes no sense to me, you're allowed to kill your limit every day of the season...whether you eat it or not has no effect on the fact that you still killed that many, i just don't understand the logic behind it

I am not saying I agree with it, but I see the logic behind it because you could kill as many as you want and as long as you get it to the freezer you are safe. However, if a game warden gets news that you killed 300 ducks one day and sure enough they are in the freezer, they can prosecute.

I would imagine they are told, don't enforce it unless you get wind of someone killing over their limit.

once again, not saying i agree with it but i can see why they need it

If my memory serves me correct wasn't there a guy on here last year who got pulled over on the way home and had his freezer checked and they took his truck, guns, dog, and freezer?

they only guys i know who have been busted for their freezers are shady guides. birds from 2 and 3 years ago. that and baiting.

i would think the average hunter that doesn't overshoot his limit, should be okay.
