I respectfully disagree.

I mostly use them for a second set of hands when you need to clamp something down quick but I have used the larger ones when gluing up cabinet doors.

They are great for projects that don't require a strong clamp. Mine get used 75 percent of the time. If I need a super tight clamp, which really isn't ideal for gluing something up, I use c clamps or pipe clamps, with a little block of wood to keep from damaging stock.

With what you have you can build a good bit of stuff. Good clamps would make work easier for you.

I can't remember the last time I used a corded drill. New cordless drills will drill multiple 1/2" holes through double truck frames.
