seriously if you do no have a good drill or two you need one. I only use a corded drill now when drilling large holes in concrete of using it with a large paddle blade to mix mortar or similar subsatance. I use the Dewalt 18volt hammer drill and smaller 18 volt non hammer drill with lithium and NiCad batteries. I have had my current set for 12 years or so and have only had to replace batteries once.
Hammer drill makes it imminently easier to drill into concrete.

You ever tried some of the new ones? The DeWalt impact drills will screw a 3" screw all the way through a 2x4. I used to work in a cabinet shop and we didn't have a single corded drill.
I haven't. For the price, I'll just keep my old corded ones. I did some work on my deck a few years ago and we had two corded ones running all day. And I've had to do some pretty big drilling and holesaw work. Had to cut out spots for a dryer vent, and drilled into solid cinder block to mount lag bolts. I like the power of a corded one.

I forgot about that as well.

I can let you test run on mine, but you'll just go buy one makes corner joints a breeze.

To be honest TU rob I have a LARGE 1/2" corded drill for those purposes.

Corded is good for drilling thick metal, railroad ties, and concrete. Battery powered for everything else. They last a long time and I have a 30 minute charger

Table saw, even if it's a smaller one you can always build a table extension. I picked up a couple of sections of roller conveyor at an auction and built frames that attach to my table saws and radial arm saws for them. Gave me a very large flat storing tabletop

If you're choosing between those, I'd go shop vac. I can't live without mine, however they can be had for pretty good deals at various times of the year. I have a large rigid I got for around $40 at Home Depot one year. Next would be the table saw. I have a drill press also that I use a lot more than I thought I would.
Some other items that I have and have found useful:
A good set of wood chisels
Kreg jig
Combination staple and brad nailer for the compressor.

I don't own one, but I have a coupon for a free one at Harbor Freight. I've been meaning to go by and collect all my free stuff.
Back on topic, I'd get a shop vac first and then the table saw. The shop vac can be used for a multitude of things, and it's always good to have one to clean up a job.
