That's my exact fricking plan. If I blow the motor, 5.9 Cummins swap for only 12k. New 6.7s run 18k. I'll either buy a H&s or wait for a custom tune to be written. Just wanted to see what others have done

I guess I should add:I'd love to not blow my engine and have to spend 12k.

I installed an sct tuner egr and dpf delete and exhaust for under 1200. Purchased it at Rudy's performance diesel. I was having an egr sensor that kept going out and ford was going to charge me 1400. No problems yet and I get 14mpg towing my boat

I had a problem with the tuners programming when I first installed it. A lil annoying but one phone call and the issue was resolved. I find the truck more responsive but the noise is noticeable in the cab. Mostly in stop and go traffic

I truly don't get this, how can anyone even have that happen? The Fords give a 500 miles until empty warning on the DEF before going into limp mode. I'd assume others do the exact same thing. I fill mine up with fluid about once every 4-6 months out of precaution at the truck stop for about $2.65 a gallon and have only had my "500 miles until def empty" warning come on once in 41,000 miles.

It's not about running out of fluid. It's about the system constantly getting clogged and fricking up. They hardly ever ever work like they are supposed to.
