So I'm installing an anchor trolley on my Kayak.

LINK

That is the exact trolley with a DIY video attached. If I attached the link correctly, it should be on the part I'm having trouble with.

I am missing the hog rings (must've fallen out of the package walking outside or something).

First question, anyone know of where I can get some replacement hog rings? I went to ace hardware and all they had were 2 inch versions. Don't carry any other size.

Or, is there another way I can secure it that would be just as effective? I thought about duct tape.

I know I can just tie another fisherman's knot or really any knot but i'm going for a cleaner look.

TIA

The hog rings are the cleanest way to attach the bungee. You can stitch the two ends together but I think it is PITA. I would think you could find small crimps or hog rings that are used on crab traps and etc that are in salt water.

What kind of kayak?

I've never found an anchor trolley necessary. There should be a way to set up an anchor system without having to screw into your boat.

I felt this way for the first 8 years I kayak fished and finally got one installed about 2 months ago. They are awesome.

If you ever anchor in deeper water trying to either fish vertically or stay statinary enough to target suspended fish, they are worth their weight in gold. I got mine installed for free at a local yak shop, so I can't speak to installation troubleshooting, but the whole idea of not drilling holes in your yak is rubbish if done and sealed correctly - same as mounting hardware on a boat.

I have something similar to an anchor trolley, with thin ropes running down each side of the kayak, but nothing drilled in.

Yep, I have 2 anchor trolleys installed on my PA14 and they come in handy if you know how to use them.
