Which would you recommend?
I'd like to hunt in Wyoming since a cousin works in Jackson

My fil has been all over. Last place was Aguilar co. They liked the outfitter but I know he's been to steamboat, Minnesota, wy, New Mexico and probably more. He said his favorite was New Mexico but the area they really liked was too hard to get drawn. Said minn was too damn cold lol. I think they are going back to Aguilar next year.

I looked into moose hunting in Maine once. But the only reasonably priced place I found said "NO DRUNKENNESS WILL BE TOLERATED IN LODGE" on their homepage.
So I don't go.

I would want to go after a 7x7 or 8x8 in Wyoming or NM

Much better, Best I can describe is a cross between beef and bison

The odds of drawing an elk tag as non resident with no bonus points are unbelievably low.

That looks awesome.. I killed a cow elk in newmexico 2 years ago and it was the best meat I've ever ate... The tenderloin steaks are better than ribeye

That was supper on about day 7 of a 10 day float trip, it was a welcome change from the mountain house freeze dried stuff we had been eating, of course eating riverside under a tarp made it that much better
We rolled the tenderloin in the salt we had to preserve the cape with and then roasted over red hot coals

I hunted elk and antelope in CO....both were a blast, but were totally different kinds of hunting.
I have never been anywhere that had a huntable moose population...
I understand that moose is the absolute best of the deer to eat...antelope is the worst.

Thank you.
Alaska would be fun. Did you kill it with a gun or bow?
