re: Hardwood packets from the Office of Forestry(Updated in pg3. info for p/u)

This is the inventory of seedlings we were provided, free of charge, thanks to the La. Dept. of Agriculture & Forestry and the Commissioner of Agriculture:

I will probably be heading that way in early May. I can bring a bunch, but I don't know if they will still be good if they dropped in the winter. If not, remind me next winter and I can catch some as they fall off the tree.

Edit to add: You have to watch where you plant these trees. They will kill other trees and other plants. Ours killed a couple of apple trees before I decided to search the internet. I think they also will kill tomato plants. They have no effect on pears.

So I got my trees this AM. It took a whole to find the room with the fridge, but that's mainly bc I walked right by it. The room is right by the entrance doors near the loading dock, door was open and freezer is straight in, light doesn't work but there's an extension cord and small light inside.

I finally went and found Dr Rutherford and he put me in the right place.

Note to all: the freezer smells like azz and don't touch the nasty looking bags on the floor.

I grabbed about 10 each of black walnut, nuttal oak, both pecans.

Does anybody have a bunch of those tree tubes for sale or know somewhere I can get them for cheap?

No like this, I'm being cheap and trying to pay less than amazon has them at.

Majority of the roots will fit in there, but trees will stick out tops.

The pecans are small, the black walnut and oaks were much larger.

Yeah some of those roots are like 12" long. I'm sticking them in my neighbors 100 old gallon plant lots he's been "storing for a good use".

Yeah, but didn't expect nasty bags on the floor.
