Berkley Jerk Shad on a jighead has been my most successful set up since moving to Texas.

I use the gulp crickets when fishing with my kids. They allow me a little time to fish without having to put on bait after every fish.
I really think they catch better that real crickets also

Kill reds with gulp, specks slightly less, but still good.

I got drunk one night and ordered 200 bucks worth of Gulp from Bass Pro. I have never used any of it. I always have live shrimp or croakers.

Been a believer in the Gulp shrimp since a winter trip to the Sulphur Mine in PAC where we limited with 10 boats all within a cast length or two away not catching shite. We were throwing them out and letting them sitting on the bottom not moving them at all and the specs were picking them up. Glow and Natural for me.

As far as smell, I really don't buy into that for saltwater fishing

Why buy into proven science and results?

You don't think redfish and trout use smell when finding food?

Picked up some Gulp minnows, crickets, and natural night crawlers. Going to see if I can snag some bluegill and bass from the river up here (St. Joe river through Elkhart county). I'll report back tomorrow evening.

Honestly, I've been working 70 hour weeks for the last 6 years, and I just got a promotion that allows me to finally slow down and enjoy life a little bit. I don't have a fricking clue what I'm doing with a rod anymore, so take the results with a grain of salt.

They work great for me here in Texas. Fish it just like a live shrimp under a cork. Or just on a jighead if you are fishing a current.
