Some of the areas I hunt in the refuge are thick as hell. Was looking for something I could wrap around me and found this Ghost Blind. I understand the concept but is it actually legit? I have used just reg camo netting but was curious if this was a gimmick or even worth it.

Did a search and could not find any info.

I've actually read good things about them. Don't know if I would buy one for the $$$

Until the deer walks close and sees itself and runs

I don't see why they wouldn't work honestly

How can we do a duck blind like this

I love mine, hunted out of it the last two years in Southern Illinois and Indiana and they definitely work. They are angled to point towards the ground so unless the deer is within stabbing distance you have nothing to worry about. Get the backpack carry case, it will make your life a hell of a lot easier! The pic was taken from about 10 feet away after my first hunt with it.

Why not just a regular ground blind?

Ghost blinds work anywhere, you don't have to do any brushing. They are also a hell of a lot easier and faster to set up.

Looks like a great idea, and much easier than fooling with netting or an actual pop-up blind. In the refuge you may want to put some orange tape on it though - some people shoot at anything that moves and I bet it's not bulletproof.

Yea i figured I would just wrap that bigass orange dome they make you put on top around a tree. Its bow-only so didnt think it would be a problem. Only problem I seen somebody mention was it would fog up on early morning hunts

ETA: did you have any problems with the height of the sides? See pics of guys shooting bows behind it

Question - what's the mirror blind look like in direct, low angle (morning/evening) sunlight?

It works great, but you have to have the sun at the right angle. Sometimes it will reflect.

ETA: Hang some flagging above said Ghost Blind.
