Thought the music didn't match the hunt.

It got a little Avian Xsy for my taste too. Nothing the mute button couldn't fix though.

Show me.

I'm just kidding. I've been trying to cook up a goose hunt with the sons of a bunch of my dad's old friends the last couple years. We all drifted apart, but we rag spread hunted as kids with our dads a lot in the late 80's and 90's.

Killing ducks to Ave Maria, just almost seems sacrilegious.

That's an awesome hunt though, Baw.

That's some of the craziest stuff I've seen in my life. I want to do that.

You can do the same thing 3 hrs west of Dallas, in Knox and Haskell counties, over peanut fields. Except for snows, mostly dark geese, and tons of em. Had several specks land five yards from me. And used siloettes (sp) and few body decoys. Awesome shite there decoying geese.

Had a blast, only thing is I wish there would've been layout blinds. Laying up against plywood wasn't easy with a herniated disk and fractured vert. Dem back pills had em moving in slow mo

We actually found these guys through Instagram and we got to talkin right then and there and booked the trip. We actually split up the drive up there and stopped at a buds house in N Little Rock and finished up the drive the following day. 1 member of the group flew and met us up there. As for lodging, they were still in the process of building their new lodge, but it will be done for next season. Price was $400 a person per day including lodging, but I think it's gonna go up a little bit for the '15-16' season (check with them to make sure). If you have some buddies who love to hunt, definitely look at PTO.

Prairie Thunder Outfitters is the operation. They have been going for a handful of years now, but this coming year will be cranked up now that they have finished their lodge. They are located in Hoisington, KS (central KS) and have access to land and water all across the state.
If you are interested at all, all I can say is hurry up and contact Zach White. We got hooked up with him through Instagram, but they have a website and all that as well. They book quickly and fill up fast, so get in touch and get a date reserved ASAP.
A friend of mine went dec 19-21 (a month after us) and on two hunts they had 11 limits of mallards in under 45 mins. This is what we are after on our return trip on new years weekend 2016

I guess they blew the whole budget on decoys and video equipment.

They have several layouts. I really don't know why we didn't use them on these hunts. But nonetheless, I had an awesome time and didn't have time to think ab where or what I was laying on lol

WAT? Can you bring your own dog?

Maybe the geese stuff is normal for folks that hunt geese like that, but I've literally never seen shite like that. I've only killed a handful of geese in my life. Never really got the opportunity to hunt them growing up hunting the swamp and SELA marsh.

If you guys go next year and have an open spot, let me know.
