Wind in the west the fishing is the best, wind from the east fishing is the least.

Did I say that right?

One of my best friends was married to a Delacroix girl - her family lived their for many generations. Those Delacroix old timers have a saying: " West wind blow - don't go."

Redfish tourney out of Sweetwater in the morning, and the west wind is not kind to Dcroix, so I'd say GI.

West wind has always been a horrible wind for me fishing Barataria Bay. With that said, my son went today, told me the water was nice and caught 20 or so schoolies and 7 reds, mostly on live skrimps. He only had 50 and ran out

Fished Venice this morning. We hammered the red snapper.

Didn't bother tuna fishing. Conditions have gone to shite. They are 90 miles out and the river is pushing them further out.

Depends on kind of boat. Falling tide and west wind, can be awesome. But if you're unfamiliar with the area it can also be dangerous to you and your hull

Woke up at 2:30am to a broken A/C at house. Spent day replacing condenser fan motor (don't try to buy A/C parts on Sat!) and hoping to get out Sun am. Glad I didn't go today cause weather looked brutal at 6am all along coast. Winds look much better tommoroow, hoping for no showers.

Caught 41 keeper specks in cocodrie.....would have caught more but we ran out of live shrimp. We kept fishing after, but it seemed like we only caught dink trout on artificials.

So picked Grand Isle area on Sun am rather than Delacroix, hit water around 8 and fished till noon...with an east wind we headed to west side from Leeville and hit Casse-Tette and Brush Island...caught 19 keeper specs under the birds, fought thru many huge gafttops. Virtually all caught on plastics, gave away 50 live shrimp back at dock. Great Father's Day with my daughter!
