Heading to Gramd Isle this weekend hoping to get on some trout and redfish. Anyone have any recent reports from that area?

Sit in the passes with a strong leader and cracked crab. No trout to speak of. At least that was the ticket last weekend.

Thanks for the update. Winds are strong this morning, around 20 MPH. Holding out to see if they die down before heading out. If they don't, we may try fishing off the bridge later in the morning.

Winds are only going to increase for the next day or two, from there it will depend on what that low near Mexico does. It is going to muddy things up a lot, your choices will be DEEP into the marshes or hit the side of the road. Plastics have been producing as good as live shrimp but every fish we have been catching has been feeding on shrimp.

Yeah, it's still windy as hell. We slept in after seeing how windy it was this morning but it hasn't got any better, heading to the bridge to give that a shot. I'll check in later with an update but I'm not expecting much.
