Grand Isle Beach Crab Report Anyone?

Off work tomorrow and I want to bring the kids crabbing during the day and play on the beach. Does anyone know if the crabs are biting?

We didn't kill them Fourth weekend, but they only caught the tail end of the rising tide in the am. When we started to pick up in pm tide had started to come back up and we one had a few necks left but we were picking up 5-6 everytime someone went out to check. Think we ended up with close to 50.

I caught 3 crabs. Not a good had a good time though. I did see a lone crab trap with no one around, it had 6 crabs in it.

We had some 7-8 nets out. Didn't out line out. They were pretty full, don't recall any kites.

No, I think they were for people at the RV park they just weren't out there monitoring them. Thought hard about it though.

Use some traps with a 12 hour soak.
