What extent would you go to if you hooked a tagged redfish on the bridge with 12 pound test?
Probably just use my pier net (or someone else's if I didn't have mine with me- someone always has one)

I've done both. Haven't fished there for bulls a whole lot though. My buddy caught some last weekend. I"ll see what he was using.

That sounds great. Will grab some of both and throw in box then after the tide starts to move out will try that. Would be aswesome to get them on some reds. Hope to have some pics next week!

Yeah. A crab net will work in a pinch.
I wonder how, exactly, they will know that the redfish has a tiny tag in it before they jump off the bridge.

Only problem with shrimp is dealing with the croakers picking at them.

I'm planning on hitting the pass and was thinking of using croakers. Would that be a good choice?

Yes. Probably the best thing you could use.

Croakers work fine but you might as well cast net a few mullet to cut up. Fish them side by side. Variety is the spice of life.

I have a trolling bait bucket but was thinking of making a towable bait tube. How hardy are croakers? Never used them before.

Sounds good. I just bought a cast net.

Better than pogeys but not near as hardy as shrimp or especially cocahoes. You can keep a handful in a trolling bucket but not many.

Would a Carolina rig be the preferred method for fishing these baits in the pass?

Leaving kayak unattended at bridgeside... Taking a break and grabbing some lunch, what says the OB about what to do with your yak and all your gear.

just tie it where it's visible, sit by the window upstairs (or the balcony), profit
