Gotta love my wife

Today I bought bass boat from a buddy of mine I traded him my duck boat for it.
He had a livescope system on it. I was explaining how it works to my wife who doesn’t know much about fishing she just goes with me and drinks beer while I fish.
Her response to livescope: It sounds like cheating

At least she goes with you. Mine will only go if it's a quick trip running lines because she doesn't want to pee off the side or in a bucket.
She did convince me to buy a new bow a while back so she's pretty awesome.

I’m not of a fisherman, but if I go to our hunting camp without her she isn’t happy.
She enjoys being there as much as I do. Heck, I enjoy having her there with me.
She talked me into upgrading my first bow 3 years ago. I was going to buy an introductory bow and get out for under 1K. She talked me into upgrading to a much better bow and spent closer to 2K

I love the live scope is cheating crap. I’ve had it on my boat since it came out and I can tell you it’s not as easy as going to any body of water and boom, you start catching fish. I have had some of my most frustrating days on the water with it. When you can sit there and see the fish (bass or crappie) and they won’t even look at your bait, that crap will make anyone mad. It has its advantages but it doesn’t make you Kevin Van Damn. My little brother is a crappie guide up here in NWLA and has more people go with him to see how to actually use it then just catch fish lol. Live scope has its advantages don’t get me wrong. I can cover more water by seeing how the fish react. I can tell pretty quick now if the fish is going to hit the bait or not. Is it for everybody? No. But saying it’s cheating is comical.

My wife loves to fish. Unfortunately, my tournament fishing eats up most of my weekends. She asks me to take her just about every weekend I don’t have a tournament. I guess there’s some lucky dude out there that gets to go shopping with his wife…..

I have been married to my wife for 35 years. We do a LOT of shite together. I don't go to the mall with her and her friends and she seldom goes fishing with me...because as much as we love one another we do not have to be stuck up one another's asses all the time...we have a life outside of one another. If you enjoy fishing with your wife god bless. Whatever works for you...but for us it has never been something we have done. She has gone fishing with me. She has gone duck and dove hunting with me. She can take it or leave it and thank god she can because I like to go alone most of the time because getting away from EVERYTHING, including her, is part of the allure...and I have no doubt she enjoys getting away from me at times.
