Hornady ammo for 6.5 doesnt really go over $30 per box. Not too expensive (I spend close to $50 per box on my .300wsm ammo).

Ammo isn't too expensive and I've found plenty at my local academy
Bout to start stocking up though

6.5 creedmoor is just a .308 necked down to 6.5

Nope. Other than head diameter and the spec COAL there is nothing the same. Every major datum is different between the two. Part of the same family lineage so it's easy to rechamber .308, .243, etc. or swap a barrel on the existing action.

Probably thinking of 260 Remington.

Clames is correct.

Sounds like a good reason to start handloading.

I think some say using 22-250 is the easiest way to get to a 6.5 Creed. Lot of effort since you can just buy the match brass for equal of .308 and you aren't beating up a case to get there.

I'll use it at my place to shoot deer and hogs. Got a pipeline I can shoot a long ways on. Other than that I just wanted one. Something a little different yet similar.

Savage, certainly not a beauty queen. Just like that sorta cute, overly chubby, very smart girl who will always bust her arse to make you happy. She's consistent, dependable, underappreciated.

I want one just like that in .30-06...
